August 24, 2016:

The Law Offices of Joshua N. Garick, P.C. filed a class action complaint against Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Corp, also known as Heritage at Framingham, alleging that the “community fees” it charges to residents violates consumer protection laws, including the Massachusetts Security Deposit Statute.

The CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT COMPLAINT alleges that Heritage of Framingham, which holds itself out to be an assisted living facility, violates the law by charging a $4,000.00 “community fee” to its residents. The lawsuit claims that assisted living facilities are not exempt from consumer protection laws such as the Massachusetts Security Deposit Law and such fees are unlawful.

Most facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other outpatient care centers charge fees that may violate Massachusetts law. If you have questions about a fee you have been charged, please CONTACT US to discuss your legal rights.
